Abstract
In the early months of the COVID-19pandemic with no designated cure orvaccine,theonlywaytobreaktheinfectionchainisself-isolationandmaintainingthephysicaldistancing.Inthissystem,wepresentapotentialapplication of the Internet of Things(IoT)inhealthcareandphysicaldistancemonitoringforpandemicsituations.Theproposedframeworkconsistsoftwoparts:alightweightandlow-costIoTnode,asmartphoneapplication (app). The IoT node trackshealthparameters,includingheartrate,PPG (photoplethysmogram) and GPSlocation, then updates the smartphoneapptodisplaytheuserhealthconditions.
